How Valocar works
Valocar combines official Swiss technical data, real market listings and your objective to produce a structured, traceable report that can be presented in any administrative or commercial procedure. Here is how it works, in five steps.
01 · Identify the vehicle
Valocar uses the entered information and, when available, official Swiss technical data to better identify the make, model, engine, power and variant of the vehicle.
02 · Read the real market
The report relies on real market listings when available. These listings serve to place the vehicle in its price environment, without mixing in vehicles that are too different.
03 · Compare intelligently
Two vehicles of the same model are not necessarily worth the same. Valocar accounts for criteria such as year, mileage, engine, body type, trim and specific versions. Listings that are too far removed are excluded or shown as broader benchmarks.
04 · Adapt the reading to your objective
A purchase, a private sale or a discussion with a professional are not read in the same way. Valocar adapts the advice, arguments and ranges to your situation.
05 · Show the limits
Valocar provides independent decision support. The report does not replace a physical inspection, does not guarantee a sale or trade-in price, and does not constitute an official certified valuation.
Valocar is independent
Valocar does not buy vehicles, does not push towards any sale and does not receive commissions on transactions. The service is charged as a one-time payment for each report generated. The report is structured to be presented to a third party — bank, insurer, customs or public authority — with an explicit method and auditable sources.
Designed to be presented in official proceedings
The Valocar dossier is structured to accompany an official procedure: vehicle export, customs declaration, insurance claim, submission to a bank, an insurer or a public authority. It documents market value with an explicit method, audited comparables and a shareable PDF. Customs & export — documented value that can be communicated to customs authorities and foreign registration services. Insurance & claims — justifiable market range, timestamped comparables and traceable method. Bank & financing — structured and independent dossier, without conflict of interest with a financial institution. Administration & transfer — explicit method, listed sources, PDF ready to send.
Use case: challenge an insurance settlement
The same Valocar Market Intelligence Estimator (MIE) can document the gap between the insurer’s offer and the reference value. The Valocar dossier remains neutral: it presents the method and market evidence without replacing the policy or legal advice. The insurance offer is compared with the MIE value in CHF and percentage terms. The method details retained comparables, the observed average and the exclusion of extreme values.
